Individual Developmental Residential Service – Carmel, Indiana

Individual Developmental Residential Service is actively seeking a qualified Admin/Intake Coordinator to join our team. The Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in our organization, responsible for overseeing the admissions process for clients. This role involves interacting with prospective clients, their legal guardians, or representatives, conducting assessments, and ensuring all necessary paperwork and documents are prepared accurately. The ideal candidate will demonstrate diplomacy, professionalism, and excellent organizational skills.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Interim Program Director

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Previous experience in administrative roles preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate all applications to determine client eligibility for the program.
  • Initiate or conduct phone calls to verify and authenticate clients’ information.
  • Schedule appointments to assess clients’ mental stability and ability to participate in the program.
  • Determine appropriate levels of care based on client assessments and needs.
  • Refer clients to alternative treatment providers when necessary.
  • Coordinate orientations and intake processes for new clients.
  • Make community referrals based on assessment findings.
  • Develop and implement admission processes and procedures.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships within the community to expand referral sources.
  • Maintain updated contact lists of community referral resources.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and faxing documents.
  • Notify staff of new clients and provide necessary paperwork promptly.
  • Advocate for a healthy working environment within the facility.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients' information and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Benefits: To be discussed during the interview

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Salary: 18-20 per hour
