The primary role of this position is to manage and lead all aspects of new and existing projects. This position will be focused on insuring that all disciplines within ads have the information and materials to successfully hit all productivity, quality and delivery goals. This role will also serve as the primary contact between ads and its customers. CAD experience is a must. Strong Computer Skills
Responsibilities:
· Ensure customer feels like they are our most valued customer
· Ensure the customer feels the value we provide is the best in the industry
· Ensure customer satisfaction with any dealings they have with us
· Conduct all customer communication required when not best done by another department
· Know what work and launches their customer has coming up, and to do any presentations required to them.
· Make sure any customer specifications or requirements are adhered to
· Assist with training and developing other employees in the business
· Be the definitive source for information on a project
· Ensure everyone in the organization has the information they need to complete their step in the project
Quote
· Create new projects in Canadian database
· Create new projects on drawing drives
· Acquire all required information for project - math data, design requirements, prototype feedback RFQ, billing requirements
· Set up all BOMs per standard procedures
· Make sure all BOMs are entered properly, and archived properly when required
· Make sure RFQ's are sent out to our suppliers in a timely fashion, and that all pricing is entered in.
· Make sure the cut list calculators are run properly and have the correct information
· Make sure the labor is laid out and entered properly with the appropriate people having input to what the standard budget minutes should be.
· Make sure the proper mark-ups and profits are used.
· Ensure all quotations are completed in time, and with the best options and pricing available. This will mean working on quotes early, so if things come up, there is enough time to get alternate quotes or opinions so the best quotation can be put together.
· Get feedback for pricing
· Deaden projects that are not received
Project Set Up
· Create new projects in Lawrenceburg database
· Ensure BOMs match PO, shipping & billing information is correct and engineering information is accurate
· Make sure customer POs are entered properly in both databases
· Ensure the whiteboards are updated with the appropriate projects.
Design
· Get all math data converted as required.
· Make sure the design concept, and build ability lives up to ADS's high standards.
· Make sure the concept packages follow the standard layout
· Make sure the drawing packages follow the ADS or customer standards required.
· Create detailed BOMs as required
· Create initial version of final check sheet with unique engineering requirements
· Attend any rack reviews as required
Project Management
· Maintain To-Do list for all tasks on project
· Layout fixture breakdown and add to Production Tracker. Update the labor breakdown and BOM items to assembly in the database. Update once the fixture are completed.
· Add to the production Planner with the ship requirement dates. Production Manager is to expand this to the individual truck delivery schedule. Project Manager may need to work with production and the customer if production cannot meet customer's initial requirements
· Make sure the master schedule is updated with any new projects, schedule changes, and delivery tracking. Currently delivery tracking will be completed in Canada.
· Make sure customer schedules and any other information required are submitted on the web or other forms, and make sure the schedule is agreed to by production.
· Ensure trucks are being booked properly for shipments.
· Coordinate customer’s visits for prototype, first article, certification or quality reviews. Manage process with customers.
· Make sure design and production review sheet is filled out, and sourced to appropriate people
· Make sure any engineering or material changes from prototype / fixtures gets back to engineering
· Identify and implement project needs with assistance from production (i.e. paint covers, check fixtures, washers, rivets, fixture changes, etc…)
· Ensure the information engineering and production has is always up to date and with production
· Ensure the 442 form is accurate, confirming invoicing has been sent
Releasing
· Make sure internal POs are created
· Create POs in time to allow suppliers reasonable delivery times to get material delivered before production's schedule requires
· Release material in Canada for items being produced in Canada
· Make sure release packages and grey folder information are completed properly with the up to date drawings
