HighWire is Hiring a Business Development Representative Near Burlington, MA

Job Description

Job Description

Highwire is the Contractor Success Platform for builders and owners of capital projects. We are embarking on an exciting growth phase and looking for the best talent in Boston and Boise.

To support this growth, we are looking for a Business Development Representative to help build and nurture our sales pipeline. You'll join our small but growing team of BDRs and your efforts will directly impact the organization's bottom line.

Your mission:

As a Business Development Representative, your goal is to help generate revenue by moving prospective clients into our sales pipeline. Our software serves the builders and owners of capital construction projects, and you'll proactively source and engage these clients across various industry verticals (pharma, tech, hospitals, and large general contractors, to name a few).

What you'll do:
  • Develop a robust sales funnel. In partnership with the sales and marketing team, you will target specific buyer personas with cold outbound campaigns and capitalize on inbound leads generated from digital campaigns and events.
  • Deliver qualified meetings. You will be responsible for setting up meetings for Account Executives with prospective clients. You'll deliver 1-2 qualified meetings each week through your targeted outreach.
  • Nurture the existing pipeline. Our sales cycle is complex and can span several months. To keep prospects engaged, you will research and engage with additional decision-makers to strengthen the opportunity's progression in our sales funnel.
Who you are:
  • Relentless. When you see an opportunity with a prospective client, you don't stop until you have secured a meeting or spoken with your intended audience. Your targeted and persistent outreach drives real results.
  • Hard-working. You are obsessed with beating your numbers and pay close attention to your output by managing your time wisely. You prepare in advance and organize your day to maximize your impact.
  • Engaging communicator. You are creative in your outreach and comfortable navigating technical industry discussions with potential clients. Once a connection is made, your persuasive and professional communication will move them into our sales pipeline.
  • Competitive . You don't meet your goals; you crush them. You love friendly competition and relish the opportunity to set the bar high for future teammates and impact Highwire's bottom line.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with some introductory sales experience who wants to advance their business development career by targeting mid-market and enterprise companies. We're looking for a highly motivated individual who is ready to crush their numbers, overcome objections, and not let a 'no' stop them from meeting their goals.

Compensation:

At Highwire, our approach to compensation is simple: we hire exceptional people and pay them well.

For this sales role, the On Target Earnings (OTE) are provided below. However, where you land within this range will be determined by several factors, such as your skills, experience, and how you perform against targets. Our commission plans are designed to reward your hard work and impact, and with uncapped potential, there's room to exceed expectations if you thrive. So, while most people typically fall within this range in their first year, for those who excel, the sky's the limit.

On Target Earnings Range
$85,000—$115,000 USD

Benefits:

Our benefits go well beyond the basics. To support your work-life integration, we built a benefits program that takes care of the whole person, including physical, mental, financial, and emotional health.

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance to all full-time employees. Best part? You'll be eligible on day one.
  • 401k. We offer a 401k and a 3% company contribution (even better than a match) to help you get ready to retire no matter how far off that seems.
  • Parental leave. We take care of new parents by offering paid time off for births, adoptions, and fostering.
  • Flexible PTO. Our culture of trust and measurement means there's no limit on time off, just an expectation of performance.
  • Mentorship. Our office-based culture fosters meaningful learning, growth, and mentorship for our team.
