What You Will Do
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, plumbing, painting, changing light bulbs, window/door/wall repairs and small electrical issues
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Follows work assignments to fulfill maintenance service requests on production and facilities equipment
- Performs monthly preventive maintenance, safety, and cleaning duties on all site locations
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Occasionally ascending/descending a standard ladder to service equipment
- Occasional heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
- Performs monthly OSHA safety checks as required on the OSHA / PM guidelines
- Has been trained in and follows all OSHA, company and Facilities department safety guidelines daily
- Travel to facilities in designated region

- Must be highly organized and able to handle a multi-task environment
- Minimum formal education, experience and training: High school graduate or equivalent plus 3 years of experience in routine maintenance and repair of production equipment
- Strong mechanical and electronics background. Ability to read prints, schematics and diagrams. Ability to test equipment including pressure gauges, voltmeters and ammeters.
- Materials used: Chemicals, lubricants, coolants, solvents, steel, building materials.
- Tools used: Hand tools, voltmeter, welder, cutting torch, grinders, and drills.
- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
- Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or members in a pleasant manner
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
- Working Conditions: Generally modern, well lighted and clean working environment. Ability to occasionally work in low lit, confined spaces.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders at various heights and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
