POSITION Technology Summer Help

4 Day/10 Hour Schedule

6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (inlcudes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs Cat-5 and fiber optic cabling
• Performs preventative maintenance on technology equipment (projectors, comm closets etc)
• Collect and deliver computer components
• Clean up after completing work
• Be familiar with technology equipment and troubleshooting skills
• Professionally interact with District staff, colleagues, members of the public, and students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Flexible in learning new concepts cooperates with others and adapts to a variety of assignments and
• conditions.
• Demonstrates personal characteristics of flexibility, high-stress tolerance, reliability, punctuality,
• dependability, and an ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with other employees, management,
• staff, students, and the public.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Health and physical stamina to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
• Perform work at various heights, and perform various types of physical labor for up to a ten (10) hour shift.
• Stand, walk, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, push, and pull. Stand or walk 95 percent of the workday.
• The position requires frequent squatting, bending, stooping, or twisting at the neck and trunk while
• performing the essential job functions.
• Fine motor skills, including use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and be able to hear or talk to
• others.

Verification of identity and United States work authorization must be completed before employment commences. The successful candidate for this position must be fingerprinted. Employment is contingent upon clearance by the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
