Department Art and Music History Job Purpose
To staff a variety of courses each semester in the field of art history. Part Time faculty may instruct one or more introductory or period courses each semester on an “as needed” basis.
Essential Duties
Part-time faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s); prepare course materials; provide support and guidance to students; and report grades.
Additional Skills RequiredEvidence of well-rounded (e.g., multiple historical periods) teaching experience in art history
Minimum Education RequirementsA Master of Arts Degree in Art History is required.
Preferred EducationA Ph.D. or ABD in Art History is preferred.
Minimum Job Experience RequirementsAt least two years previous teaching experience and a willingness to be flexible in cases of unanticipated course scheduling needs and changes.
Preferred QualificationsWritten and oral competence in the English Language

As openings occur, we will draw candidates from this pool until May 2025 or until positions are filled for the current academic year.
