Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Cleans floors in the following areas: Kitchen, service areas, restrooms, storerooms, and dining rooms

* Uses mops and floor machines as required

* Sweeps appropriate areas when needed

* Breaks down cans and boxes and places them in the appropriate bins

* Cleans up broken plates, glassware, and cookware

* Replaces and restocks milks when needed

* Removes refuse from the following areas of the dining center: kitchen, service areas, restrooms, dining rooms, storerooms, and locker rooms.

* Cleans carts, tables, and chairs

* Rinses and sanitizes garbage cans

* Maintains orderliness of the storerooms, coolers, and freezers

* Stocks various inventory items in the kitchen, restrooms, and dining rooms: fills soap and towel dispensers and replaces light bulbs

* Provide exceptional customer service to our customers

Minimum Requirements

* Must be 18 years of age or older

* Able to stand on one's feet for 3-4 hours

* Able to lift up to 30 pounds

* Must be able to work with the preparation and disposal of fish, poultry, beef, lamb, pork and other meat products in professional culinary commercial kitchen.

* Must be able to adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which include removal of all jewelry and piercings except for a plain wedding band while working in our facilities.

* Hairnets and beard restraints are also a requirement in our food preparation areas

* Incumbents should have an optimistic attitude, willingness to learn new skills, high degree of integrity, and a strong work ethic
