Waco, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable, professional, motivated individual to join our team as we continue to grow and serve our customers in the heavy industrial and commercial mechanical industry!

Position: Construction Laborer

Job Summary: Responsible for the execution of work in heavy industrial mechanical, water/wastewater treatment, commercial plumbing/HVAC, and underground utility projects. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to perform day-to-day activities such as piping installation and bolt up, rigging and setting equipment, equipment operation, and various other tasks required throughout the duration of a project to ensure it is successfully completed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Must report to work consistently and on time.

· Must have a reliable means of transportation to and from work.

· Have the ability to work flexible hours and weekends if required.

· Must have a general understanding underground and above ground piping installation.

· Must be able to work with hand tools and power tools in any environment.

· Must be willing to take direction and communicate with site supervision.

· Experienced in operating manlifts and forklifts.

· Experienced in rigging and setting heavy equipment.

· Must have a positive attitude and be able and willing to perform any task requested.

· Must be willing to travel approximately 2 hours around Richmond.

· Have the ability to work with others.

· Have the ability to be given a weekly list of tasks to be completed and execute them successfully.

Qualifications:

· Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings.

· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

· Be knowledgeable in general mechanical construction techniques and be able to apply this knowledge to a variety of tasks throughout a project.

· OSHA 10 (preferred)

· Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and clean criminal history (a pre-employment background check and drug screen will be performed).
