Tri-Valley Transit (TVT), a nonprofit organization, has been providing critical transportation needs for community members for 45 years. The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the mission of TVT by providing support directly to staff and through the HR Manager and HR Director with tasks such as:

• Support employees by answering HR related inquiries and assisting with paperwork
• Recruitment and onboarding tasks
• Provide assistance in administering benefit programs
• Assist with HR related communications
• Compile reports for Executive and Finance Directors
• Create and maintain spreadsheets and other documents
• Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings
• Distribute mail
• Facilitate and track employee compliance documents
• Organize and maintain HR digital and paper files
• Assist in planning and coordinating morale events and trainings
• Other duties as assigned

This position requires a high level of professionalism, the ability to maintain confidentiality and the ability to maintain a positive attitude as well as strong organizational and computer skills. Previous experience in a Human Resources role or associate's degree in related field preferred.

The position will be 20-28 hours a week with some flexibility in scheduling. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including:

The position is based in our Middlebury office and will require periodic, paid travel to our other sites in Randolph and Bradford. A company vehicle is available.
