Toth and Associates, Inc. (TOTH) is seeking a qualified construction observer to welcome to our growing team in Hermiston, Oregon.
The Construction Observer will oversee the construction of electrical transmission lines or electrical substations. Coordination of construction staking will also be required. Responsibilities on a day-to-day basis will include documenting daily construction activities, ensuring quality of construction activities, ensuring that the engineers' field data and maps accurately reflect the realities in the field, and effectively communicate field matters back to the remote engineer. Additionally, the observer will be a part of keeping good client relations and maintaining good relations with the contractor's personnel. Industry knowledge of transmission line construction techniques and practices are required including concrete testing requirements, compaction requirements and other practices that are a part of standard construction but may not be included in the plans and specifications.
