Job DescriptionThe University of Indianapolis is seeking applicants for the Director of Admissions position in the College of Health Sciences (CHS). This is a full-time, exempt position. The CHS Director of Admissions has the primary responsibility of managing the college’s comprehensive admissions processes for all graduate and professional programs and providing oversight over the evaluation and recruitment of new students. The person in this role supervises the CHS admissions team and regularly collaborates with other units, including the larger recruiting team, marketing office, financial aid, advising, and academic departments, to establish and meet goals for projects and portfolios. This position is eligible for hybrid employment, with weekly on-campus expectations and occasional on-site recruitment events throughout the academic year. Requirements/Minimum QualificationsRequired Experience:At least two years of professional experience in admissions/recruitment/enrollment in higher education. At least two years of experience with a customer relationship management system (CRM). At least one year of professional supervisory experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products. Preferred ExperienceExperience with Slate and WebAdMIT (CAS). Experience using Google Products. Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree in an education-related discipline preferred.

Develop and implement strategic plans and policies for the CHS admissions office, aligning with
the college's overall mission, goals, and enrollment targets.
Create/update CHS admission processes to improve productivity and ensure compliance with
internal and external requirements.
Recruit, train, and supervise admissions counselors, support staff, and student workers,
fostering a collaborative and effective team environment.
Assist CHS leadership in developing and managing the budget, allocating resources effectively
and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
Use technical resources and predictive modeling to make informed decisions about students’
applications and outreach.
Plan and coordinate comprehensive recruitment strategies, including, college fairs, open
houses, professional conferences, and other outreach activities to attract a diverse and qualified pool of applicants.
Oversee the comprehensive review process for all admission applications, ensuring fair and
consistent evaluation of candidates based on established criteria, such as academic records, standardized test scores, essays, recommendations, and extracurricular activities.
Implement strategies to maximize the enrollment of admitted students, including
communication efforts and yield events.
Analyze admissions data, trends, and statistics to inform decision-making, track performance
metrics, and generate reports for institutional stakeholders.
Engage in the consistent, accurate, and adaptive usage of the CRM to develop predictive
modeling, evaluate applications, ensure data integrity, process admission, communicate, track interactions, and update statuses. Education for Service
Ensure application systems are fully operational and updated by the application launch date.
This includes working with internal and external representatives and stakeholders to ensure all data is current.
Serve as the initial point of contact for technical issues related to internal (Slate) and external
(CAS) application systems and escalate issues to appropriate individuals as necessary. This includes training new users in CHS.
Serve as the primary individual to process application workflow, admissions decisions,
scholarships, and posting of Casper assessment scores.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies related to
admissions, maintaining ethical practices and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Serve as a liaison between admissions and other college and university units, such as academic
affairs, student services, and marketing, fostering collaboration and alignment.
Stay updated on trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of college
admissions, and provide professional development opportunities for staff.
Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
