Job DescriptionThe Department of Philosophy & Religion in the Shaheen College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Indianapolis is seeking an Adjunct in Religion beginning in August 2024. The ability to teach during the evening is required with the ability to teach in person strongly preferred. The successful candidate will teach 3-6 hours of REL 110 World Religions. Qualifications - Adjunct In Religion
Master's degree in Religious Studies (or related field) required, ABD or Ph.D. preferred
Ability to teach in the evening is required; the ability to teach in person is strongly preferred
A record of successful teaching or having completed a teaching practicum required
Commitment to supporting all students, including first-generation and historical marginalized students preferred
Responsibilities - Adjunct in Religion
Designs courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations
Plans lessons
Grades assignments, essays, etc.
Responds to student needs in person or electronically
