The Thos. Somerville Co. and the Somerville Bath and Kitchen Store, a leading distributor of plumbing and HVAC equipment and supplies in the Mid-Atlantic region, is looking for a showroom consultant to join our Richmond, VA showroom team. As a showroom consultant, you will work with a wide range of customers, including contractors, designers, builders, and the retail public. You will assist customers, both by appointment and walk-ins, while guiding them through the fixture & faucet selection process for their project. The ideal candidate must be friendly, have a positive attitude, be detailed-oriented and highly organized. Candidate should have good computer skills and a willingness to learn about the products we sell. Hours for this position are 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):

· Answer and service phone calls. Perform appropriate follow-up to calls

· Promote sales efforts and long-term relationships with repeat customers

· Follow company policies and procedures

· Drive sales to meet sales/gross profit goals

· Support promotions and assist with selling off clearance products

· Process orders and quotes

· Process returns and credits as required

. Maintain and follow-up on inventory sourced into the branch

. Provide support for the outside sales team as needed

. Maintain showroom inventory spreadsheet
