Reports to: Executive Chef
Department: Shipping & Receiving/Kitchen
Location: Union League Liberty Hill (800 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444)
DescriptionTo assist purchaser in order-placing, computer inputting, and receiving of deliveries and packages and all shipping with UPS and Federal Express.
Responsibilities
- Help receive all incoming packages and deliveries.
- Help check every incoming package of its contents to ensure that only quality product is being received.
- Putting away all incoming deliveries in their correct locations.
- Ensuring that all daily requisitions are filled in a timely manor.
- Maintaining & cleaning the storeroom, refrigerators, and freezer.
- Keeping an up-to-date log of all received parcels and where they have been delivered.
- Ensure proper rotation of all food items.
- Fill daily orders when purchasing manager is out.
- Assist with data entry
- Have a good working knowledge of DHL and Federal Express shipping requirements to make sure all shipments go out in a timely manner.
- Call in DHL and Federal Express pick-ups at the end of each day.
- Exhibiting strong people skills for dealing with customer service issues as related to shipping.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must stand for entire shift
