Reports to: Assigned Foreman

Job Summary: Public Works team members play a crucial role in maintaining and improving public infrastructure. Performs routine maintenance, at times using a variety of equipment, including, but not limited to: roadways, municipal facilities, park grounds and facilities, rights-of-way and other public property, storm water facilities and fleet and equipment, etc.

Daily Responsibilities (Including but Not Limited To):

• Conduct routine equipment and fleet maintenance
• Work order assignments and completion daily
• Executing routine asphalt and concrete work orders
• Repairing minor equipment problems. Notifying foreman of major equipment repairs
• Communicating with foreman throughout and at end of the day
• Completing assigned work orders as given from foreman
• Maintaining organized, safe, and clean shop, breakroom, and yard
• Ensure you are wearing company uniform: Company shirt, boots, vest, and safety glasses
• Clock in and out of ADP; Informing Manager when timecard problems arise

Weekly Responsibilities (Including but Not Limited To):

• Providing foreman with updates daily
• Inspecting all equipment
• Participate in daily safety meetings 5 days a week

• General construction knowledge
• Concrete flat work
• Masonry
• Carpentry
• Knowledge of operating power tools (electric & gas tools)
• Asphalt patches (hot mix and cold mix)
• Light duty equipment operation (mini-excavator & skid steer)
