We have an opportunity available here at Spaulding Academy & Family Services for a School Scheduler ~ Staff Supervisor. This position is part of the Leadership team and will be Monday through Friday, primary hours are 6:30am to 2:30pm, but could occasionally require some flexibility outside of that schedule. This multi-faceted role will entail:
Scheduling Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for scheduling of all direct care staff. This will include finding and scheduling substitutes when needed to ensure that all programming occurs at all times.
2. Coordinates with all Spaulding departments as needed to schedule staffing and student activities related to campus wide needs (with Health Services, Behavioral Health, Residential, Academic, Food service, Facilities, etc.).
3. Enters scheduling data into daily Scheduling Report and/or software, publishing the schedule by a pre-determined time, as well as informing all appropriate parties of day-to-day staff scheduling changes
Payroll Responsibilities:
1. Complete payroll administration and preparation. Approves and manages time off requests, finalizes payroll each week.
Shared Supervisory Responsibilities:
1. Supervises and evaluates assigned staff under the supervision of a school administrator. Direct supervision of school staff that will include:
2. Participates in the selection, training, mentoring, supervision, evaluation, and management of the school and school staff as part of the school leadership team.
3. As a shared responsibility with school leadership, serves as On-site Supervisor for all Restraint incidents.
4. Maintain school organizational lists, i.e., school classroom assignment lists, day student transportation lists, staffing lists, staff information lists.
5. Participate in or lead meetings - internal to advance Center initiatives. Act as a liaison between the school and its constituents.
6. Attends staff meetings, in-service trainings, and other meeting as requested.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree. 5 years’ experience working in an academic setting. Paraeducator II certification. NHDOE General Special Education license or SOE is preferred, but not required. Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Proficient use of Access, Word, Excel – experience with scheduling and timekeeping programs preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage conflict and provide direct feedback in a timely fashion; highly motivated self-starter who requires minimal supervision and can interact smoothly with all staff; effective, respectful and positive communication skills.
