TAX ASSOCIATE

Sisterson & Co. LLP, a regional CPA firm located in Pittsburgh, PA, is hiring qualified candidates to join our Tax team. We are seeking local candidates to serve as our next experienced Tax Associate.

As a Tax Associate at Sisterson, you will serve as a tax engagement professional utilizing your attention to detail, technical skills and written and verbal communication skills. In this position you will develop and apply an in-depth understanding of tax return preparation, the overall tax return process, and technical expertise required to maintain tax processing practices as well as provide tax support throughout the year, including adhering to the tax season deadlines.

As a Tax Associate, you will receive training and experience in the preparation of individual, trust, non-profit and business tax returns. Work-related duties also include tax research, workpaper preparation, data analysis estimates, deprecation calculations, and other duties as assigned.

  • Bring 1-2 years of tax return preparation experience (forms 1065, 1120, 1040, 990)
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA not required)
  • Provide excellent technical and project management skills
  • Are familiar with tax code, laws, and regulations
  • Effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form
  • Exhibit an advanced level of professionalism when representing the firm
