Job Description
The Boston office of Sullivan & Worcester LLP has an opening for a full-time, experienced real estate paralegal to assist primarily with the Firm’s Affordable Housing & Community Development Practice Group within the Real Estate Department and additionally the department generally for other real estate matters where appropriate.
Our Affordable Housing & Community Development practice is a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team that represents all parties involved in the affordable housing industry. Our clients include for-profit and not-for-profit developers, lenders, and investors. We assist clients with multi-family residential housing developments, mixed-income and mixed-use developments, senior-oriented cooperatives, and affordable assisted living. Our lawyers partner with industry leaders to create and preserve affordable housing and support community development.
We are seeking a paralegal with at least two years of experience in a busy commercial real estate practice, assisting attorneys in all aspects of transactions, including document preparation and review, and closing coordination. Closing coordination includes the management of signature pages and preparation of closing binders. Additional responsibilities include title and survey review as well as corporate entity formation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and possess very good document management skills for working in a paper intensive environment. We are looking for a candidate who is a problem solver and can anticipate or troubleshoot issues as they arise. This full-time position requires candidates to be willing to work in the office a minimum of three to four days per week or as necessary as well as remotely when appropriate.
