Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a qualified Accountant to collaborate with and become an integral part of our accounting, finance, and tax teams. This position is responsible for all aspects of the accounting reporting for multiple entities and is located in our main office in Anderson, California.
About The Position
• Accounting for multiple entities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable / receivable, account reconciliations, and other analysis as needed
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reporting requirements for multiple entities, including all audit and tax schedules
• Risk management accounting and reporting
• Tax reporting and payments in multiple states, which can include income tax, sales & use tax, property tax, and other miscellaneous tax reporting needs
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
• Multitask and adapt to changing priorities while staying organized and meeting expected deadlines
• Exercise discretion with sensitive and confidential information
• Provide support and financial analysis, as needed, for special projects
• General office duties as well as additional financial, accounting, and tax-related tasks
• Cross-train in related positions to contribute to team environment
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, CPA a plus
• 3 years progressive work experience in accounting preferred
• Preference given for experience in manufacturing environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products with significant experience creating and using Excel spreadsheets
• Strong organizational, mathematical and analytical skills with ability to effectively resolve problems
• Willingness to take on increasing responsibilities
• Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills with emphasis on professionalism
• Professional demeanor, with ability to work in a team environment

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $65,000 and $130,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
