Grades 6-8: Teacher/Full-Time: St. Veronica School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Studies Teacher for grades 6-8. The successful candidate will be passionate about Catholic education and capable of creating an engaging and effective learning environment. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student performance in accordance with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement a comprehensive social studies curriculum that aligns with school standards and Catholic teachings.
– Teach social studies subjects, including history, geography, civics, and economics, to students in grades 6-8.
– Create lesson plans that engage students and accommodate diverse learning needs.
– Integrate Catholic values and perspectives into the curriculum and classroom activities.
– Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
– Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to support student learning.
– Assess and evaluate student performance through formative and summative assessments.
– Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
– Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and school events.
– Participate in school events, professional development, and faculty meetings.
– Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to enhance the educational experience for students.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
– Valid or eligible for a teaching licensure for middle school social studies.
– Strong knowledge of social studies content and pedagogy.
– Commitment to Catholic education and values.
– Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
– Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
