General Summary

Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for monitoring the organization’s computer systems, networks, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing security measures to help protect the organization from security breaches and cyber threats. The Cybersecurity Analyst will work closely with other team members to assist in developing/implementing cyber security controls and respond to potential threats and incidents.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities / Knowledge

• Manages multiple priorities and works effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Assists in developing and maintaining documentation of industry best practices for security standards, processes, guidelines, and/or controls.
• Maintains a working knowledge of security tools. (SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, EDR, MDM, PAM, DLP, DNS, web proxies, email gateway, application whitelisting tools, and/or next gen antivirus solutions)
• Utilizes various security tools to monitor computer systems and networks.
• Ensures seamless operation of Digital Certificates.
• Maintains a working knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python), query languages (KQL, LEQL) and/or Regular expression (Regex).
• Coordinates with team members to ensure timely resolution of security incidents.
• Performs an in-depth analysis of security events and/or alerts.
• Assists in developing and maintaining documentation for security events.
• Generates detailed incident response reports.
• Conducts vulnerability assessments to identify system vulnerabilities and assists with creating remediation plans.
• Collaborates with the software development team to implement necessary security measures at every stage of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Participates and assists in regulatory audits.
• Participates on the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team.
• Maintains a working knowledge of up-to-date cybersecurity threats, trends, best practices, cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory requirements, and/or cybersecurity controls.
• Attends cybersecurity workshops and on-the-job technical training.
• Maintains a working knowledge of ITSM ticketing tools.
• Subject to on call after normal business hours as business needs dictate.

Key Accountabilities

• Complies with all policies, procedures, and confidentiality agreements effective as a result of employment with Rayburn.
• Shares information with Rayburn management and staff, contractors, and other third parties in a timely manner, as required.
• Delegates jobs and tasks to appropriate employees, providing complete information and resources to properly complete such jobs and tasks.
• Provides Rayburn management with updates and/or reports on work and tasks as requested or required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive management.

Job Specifications / Skills Required

Education:

Bachelor’s or higher in computer related degree is preferred.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity related field is preferred.

Certifications:

CompTIA Security (CompTIA) or equivalent certifications is preferred.

Skills:

· Basic understanding of network security, Windows Server OS, and PKI.

· Experience with ServiceNow is preferred.

· Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices is preferred.

· Able to work effectively in a team environment; willing to assist others.

· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

· Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a computer workstation.

· Ability to perform repetitive motions using a computer keyboard, test equipment and operate hand tools.

· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; open file cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
