  • Job Title: Partnership Director
  • Level & Responsibility: This role is a Director / VP level role, working as a senior leader with responsibility over the culture, processes and successful performance of a team.
  • Salary: $150,000-$199,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a discretionary bonus.
  • Location & Hybrid Working: We have an office in New York for applicants to take advantage of and use to meet with the wider team and our clients, however this is not a requirement for the role and we welcome applicants from across North America.
The role
We are looking for a Partnership Director to join our Threefold agency, reporting directly into the North America Managing Director, responsible for leading a US retail partnership. In this role, your success will hinge on your ability to lead the team in creating compelling retail media campaigns that align with our vision and meet the objectives of the brands. You'll take charge of setting and achieving commercial targets, while also cultivating relationships with key stakeholders across Threefold and our retail partner.

Why you?

We are seeking someone with significant client-facing, commercial, and business leadership experience, likely from a marketing, retail media, CPG, media agency, sales, or retail tech background. Previous experience in planning and executing commerce media campaigns could be an advantage. More specifically, you'll have / be:

  • A proven track record in delivering business growth in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Significant experience in a client or customer-facing role in retail media.
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to work seamlessly with data & financial reporting with proven P&L experience.
  • Flawless attitude at all times in all environments, with a strong will to succeed.The ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders to deliver best-in-class client service, at all times.

What you'll be doing
We pride ourselves on creating challenging and exciting opportunities, meaning that no two days are the same. However, here's an idea of what your responsibilities will look like:
Establishing the RMN:
  • With a recent new retail client onboard, we are at the exciting stage of building this partnership business from the bottom up. This role will lead the vision, strategy, and end-to-end execution of the Retail Media Network with our retail partner.
Business leadership:
  • You'll develop the strategy and budget, defining the detailed roadmap that enables the delivery of this for the account. You will be responsible for defining the day-to-day direction of the account and setting the agenda for where the team focuses their time. You'll constantly be seeking out ways to build our client base, growing revenue over time and ensuring we grasp every new business opportunity available with our partner. You will also be focused on improving processes and the way we do business, enabling us to be more efficient over time.
Commercial leadership:
  • You'll be responsible for the commercial management of the account, ensuring that a clear plan is in place to support the team in delivering against the internal and external targets. You'll build and manage the P&L for your accounts and will be responsible for the delivery of brand investment, margin, and profit targets. You will deliver monthly reporting against targets making recommendations as appropriate.
Team management:
  • You'll oversee a talented team of direct reports, ranging from junior levels to Client Directors. Your responsibilities will span from creating and overseeing their focus areas and business objectives to conducting performance reviews and providing on-the-job coaching.
  • You'll ensure that agreed-upon focus and development plans are consistently pursued, progress is monitored, and your team is motivated and understands the value of their work.
Partner management:
  • You'll support the team in fostering strong relationships with our partner, with the ultimate responsibility of providing excellent client service and ensuring continued positive engagement. You'll be fully accountable for managing the partnership roadmap, enhancing our media capabilities by utilizing retailer data and new technologies.
Client management, campaign creation and campaign analysis:
  • You'll assist the team in building best-in-class relationships with our clients, being ultimately responsible for delivering great client service that closes business and secures repeat business. In our business, we cater to two distinct sets of clients: our retailer partner and our branded clients. It's essential to consistently find solutions that satisfy the needs of both, even in challenging scenarios, while effectively managing relationships with various senior stakeholders.
  • You'll be responsible for ensuring fantastic quality of output from your account team, building, and reviewing exciting campaigns that embody our proposition of creative thinking and precision planning while also delivering great results for our partner and clients.
  • We have an in-house insight team who will evaluate every campaign we deliver via our proprietary software Plan-Apps. You will be responsible for ensuring the team is delivering these results to our clients in a timely manner while also taking learnings forward to inform future campaigns. You should be experienced in leading discussions on evaluation metrics including ROI, sales uplift, and impressions.
