POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant will monitor credit cards by matching receipts with correct charges and completing reimbursements. They will assist in coding all company invoices. Also, they will reconcile different clearing accounts such as temporary accounts, employee accounts, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. 

1. Monitor credit cards by matching receipts with correct charges and completing reimbursements.
2. Assists in coding all company invoices.
3. Reconciles different clearing accounts such as temporary accounts, employee accounts, etc.
4. Oversee inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliations, and reporting.
5. Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals related to manufacturing activities.
6. Ensure timely and accurate recording of manufacturing-related transactions.
7. Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting processes and systems.
8. Streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, and enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company and our members.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S):

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business required.
• 2 years of accounting experience required.
• 4 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience using accounting software, ERP software, and online platforms required.

Skills:

Language:

• Able to read, reason, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
• Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Able to effectively present information to all levels of the organization, public groups, and/or board of directors.
• Able to build relationships through excellent communication.

Math:

• Proficient in data analytics related to accounting and finance.
• Proficient in understanding arithmetic, percentages, compounding interest, statistics, probability, and linear algebra related to finance functions.

Computer:

Able to work efficiently with Sage, Paycom, Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook to complete job tasks.

Abilities:

• Excellent data analysis and trend identification skills with the ability to show the impact of the analysis on the financial statements.
• Demonstrated skills in coaching individuals and facilitating process and culture change.
• Exceptional judgement and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• High level of organization, time-management skills, and self-discipline.
• Analytically and highly motivated individual, with acute attention to detail.
• Able to recognize the importance and adherence to all safety policies.
