Primary Function

The District Leader is responsible for developing, training, and mentoring a strong management team and staff to efficiently operate profitable, well-maintained, and safe convenience stores. They must ensure compliance with all company policies, state, and federal regulations while fostering a growth-oriented environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

A. General Management:

• Meet or exceed budgeted operating numbers for the district.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, state, and federal regulations regarding food, tobacco, and alcohol.
• Supervise, train, evaluate, and develop a strong management team.
• Provide comprehensive training on all aspects of daily store operations and responsibilities to store staff.
• Communicate information and correspondence to stores promptly.
• Ensure proper execution of all promotional plans.
• Hold associates accountable for meeting company standards.
• Complete required company audits as directed.
• Ensure the security of company property.

B. Bookkeeping:

• Provide accurate business forecasts.
• Oversee the creation of associate schedules to meet business needs.
• Monitor and audit all cash controls.
• Provide feedback on store performance analytics.

C. Human Resources:

• Take an active role in the recruiting process.
• Monitor all associate training standards.

D. Loss Prevention:

• Ensure store staff maintain appropriate safety measures and follow all procedures.
• Report all shortages and/or variances to Loss Prevention and Director of Operations.
• Ensure the security of company property.
• Ensure appropriate alarm response protocol is followed.

E. Merchandising:

• Ensure all promotional plans are properly executed.
• Monitor the store ordering process.
• Oversee store inventory levels.
• Ensure all in-store Point of Purchase (POP) is in place.

F. Maintenance:

• Maintain a strong business relationship with the property manager.
• Ensure general maintenance standards are met.

G. Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervision, compliance, and development of all store employees.

Essential Functions

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to drive long distances.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to report information correctly, whether written or electronic.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Compliance with all guidelines under the Drug-Free Workplace Act.
• Compliance with all guidelines under DOT regulations.
• Works effectively without direct supervision.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 21 years of age
• Valid NYS Driver's license that meets company policy.
