Riverside Homebuilders is Hiring a Field Construction Manager Near Fort Worth, TX

LacklandHoldings, LLC is a multi-faceted organization with a Construction Division that serves as a liaison with the land acquisition and civil engineering team with the shared goal of residential community development. The primary stakeholder is Riverside Homebuilders, our wholly owned homebuilding company. Combined entities employ almost 240 people and due to dynamic growth, our construction team is looking to add aField Construction Manager.This position is based out of the corporate office in West Fort Worth, however, will spend most of the time in the field in communities across the North Texas area.

Position Summary:

The Field Construction Managerwill work closely with the Project Managers and Director to help source successful land and lot acquisitions that meet the short- and long-term business needs of Lackland Holdings and Riverside Homebuilders. The right candidate must meet all job requirements and exhibit a strong professional presence and work ethic.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a good work environment with Riverside Homebuilders.
  • Work with the warranty department on civil matters and assist in the resolution.
  • Be able to determine acceptable lots for Riverside Homebuilders.
  • Construct house pads according to a geotechnical report.
  • Establish positive drainage on home lots.
  • Determine swings on driveways for new homes
  • Install driveway culverts with S.E.T’s. per plan grades
  • Work with the starts department on pad fitment and starting points within a subdivision.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with subcontractors and assist with getting quotes for jobs.
  • Approve invoices for payment.
  • Create and update work schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as our internal Civil Engineering team and municipalities or other governing bodies.
  • Effectively support management with projects from start to finish.
  • Provide other support and project assistance as assigned.

  • Strong professional and leadership presence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to establish quick rapports and communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Time management skills to maintain schedules and workflow.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
  • Microsoft office 365 environment


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in civil construction.
  • Demonstrated experience in reading civil plans and geotechnical reports.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, a plus.
  • Must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic, dependable and reliable.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
