Major Function:

Responsible for assessing the deposit accounts needs of customers and helping them with the opening and closing of all deposit accounts, lock boxes, and debit cards.

Essential Duties:

• Assist customers in the selection and opening of accounts to meet their financial needs; including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit boxes.
• Obtain and process customer information when opening new customer accounts.
• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations relating to all products offered by the bank to retail customers.
• Assist customers with online banking and business online banking.
• Backup and assist the teller line as needed.
• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing accurate information, building rapport, and processing all transactions as efficiently as possible.
• Handle and resolve customer concerns to ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.
• Promote bank products and services by identifying and communicating opportunities to customers.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of other departments in the bank to assist other employees/departments/branches to promote teamwork and good communication.
• Promote a positive bank image in the community.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

Previous cash handling, sales and/or customer service experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in previous work history.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
