Introductory period (typically 90 days) of on-the-job training! On-site role Mon-Fri (w/1 hour lunch).

Within our organization, the Operations department controls the inventory and repositioning of assets. We use Import and Export forecasts to determine if assets are needed locally or should be repositioned to deficit areas regionally and overseas. Other responsibilities include coordination of off hire/sale unit terminations, monitoring depots for timely repairs of damaged units, holding depots accountable for inventory accuracy and releasing assets using FIFO (first in, first out) method.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- heavy Excel
• Knowledge of OOCL Enterprise Systems- this can be taught!
• Supplier profile systems

Main Job Duties for Operations Specialist:

• Manage all equipment function through group mailboxes, meeting company response times.
• Monitor inventories against bookings for cost efficient balance
• Communicate anticipated and actual equipment shortages
• Issue instructions to vendors for container movement
• Other equipment or operation needs as required.
