Physicians Pain Services is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Saint Peters, MO

Medical assistants perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support the work of physicians and nurse practioners while providing compassionate care to patients. Duties can vary depending on location, but generally include patient care, administrative responsibilities, and clinical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

  • Patient Care:
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
  • Take patient medical histories and record vital signs.
  • Assist physicians during examinations.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
  • Educate patients about procedures and tests ordered by the providers.
  • Document patient history, physical examination findings, procedures, clinical assessments, and treatment plans as dictated by the healthcare provider.
  • Record patient information such as chief complaints, symptoms, and progress notes.

Administrative Duties:

  • Patient Interaction:
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival.
  • Answer telephones and handle inquiries.
  • Update and file patient medical records.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean and prepared.
  • Assist with the retrieval and review of patient records before appointments.
  • Coordinate with other medical staff to ensure patient information is accurately communicated.
  • Handle correspondence and follow-up with patients as necessary.

We are looking to hire a full-time or part-time depending on hours needed. Flexing between locations in St. peter's and Fenton when needed is a plus . We would love a candidate with experience working front desk or MA in a medical setting and also are looking for someone who wants to stay in this position and grow with our practice.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
