SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, provide administrative support to a department and/or manager. This position will mainly be responsible for recruiting and maintaining department manpower requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties and special projects may be assigned.

  • Responsible for all human resource activities and associate relations.
  • Maintain and control all associate documents.
  • Responsible for all company recruiting and maintaining manpower requests.
  • Design, organize, and conduct all new hire orientations.
  • Assist, prepare, attend, and organize meetings with business units for separations, suspensions, investigations, evaluations, and disciplines.
  • Conduct associate investigations where needed.
  • Assist with Leave of Absence programs (FMLA/STD/LTD)
  • Assist with ADP clock-ins.
  • Attendance tracking: issue points/create and distribute disciplines/update HR databases.
  • Update daily meeting and SQP reports for internal presentations.
  • Maintain relationship with staffing agency, responsible for temporary staffing needs 
  • Maintain cleanliness of HR office and other assigned areas.
  • Submit purchase requests through ReqLogic system for materials and supplies.
  • Attend required internal training. 
  • Make effective independent decisions and coordinates all day-to-day office functions.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations, as well as work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Above average computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Excellent organizational skills

Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree or 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
