Pay: $20/hr.

Job Description:

Receives, samples, coordinates, issues, and moves inventory at the facility. Supports Planning & Logistics, Procurement, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing, QA, Maintenance, and QC Departments by receiving, storing and shipping GMP and non-GMP materials. Complies with GMP (FDA), financial (Sarbanes-Oxley), safety (OSHA) and applicable Federal/State guidelines for all departmental activities

Major Position Activities & Responsibilities:

• Receives and distributes incoming GMP and non-GMP materials.
• Samples GMP materials, if required and submits documentation to QC or QA, as per ACM or SOP.
• Samples of raw materials to include API.
• Quarantines GMP materials in designed storage location.
• Coordinates sampling with Quality Control Lab (QCL) and Manufacturing Dept.
• After QA release, moves previously quarantined inventory to approved location.
• Issues approved components to Manufacturing using a pick list.
• Performs weekly inventory cycle counting and physical inventory on an annual basis.
• Performs data entry on Computer Inventory System for miscellaneous inventory transactions, purchase orders, pick lists and sales order fulfillments.
• Signs off as Generator representative when shipping Hazardous Waste to the Disposal Facility.
• In addition to Materials Technician I duties, is able to initiate and complete non-standard tasks and projects for GMP compliance or financial issues with minimal supervision.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
• As a part of the employee’s job requirements, the employee may be required to handle wastes including hazardous wastes. The employee must attend mandatory annual hazardous waste training meeting(s) and show a competency in that training by passing test(s) administered by the company or consultant providing such training.
• Must immediately notify supervisor if affected by infectious disease or open lesions on body, as individuals are not permitted to enter manufacturing areas or handle product if these conditions exist

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to define problems, perform investigations, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to perform data entry for SAP (ERP system) for inventory transactions, receipts and pick lists.
• Ability to work in controlled manufacturing areas.
• Background and working knowledge/experience related to utilizing proper aseptic technique.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock; explosives and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Must be able to frequently lift 25-50 pound containers and be able to maneuver 75-100 pound containers for normal receipt and issuance activities.
• This position requires flexibility in working hours and overtime coverage for Materials Management Technicians that are not available for morning shift duties.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock; explosives and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
• As persons in this role are engaged in the open manufacture of medicinal products, individuals must not be affected by an infectious disease nor have open lesions on any exposed surface of the body.
