Communications Specialist
Pay: $35.00 an hour
Minimum: Bachelors degree in Communications or Public Relations
Required: Microsoft office suite

This is a 15 month contract role
Hybrid work: Must live near Burlington MA and two days remote a week
As a Communications Specialist with the Life Science Communications Team you will provide valuable support on a variety of internal, external and executive communications initiatives and event planning projects. Your tasks will mainly revolve around project management and content management support, which will include, but is not limited to content maintenance, copywriting, translation support and administrative tasks.
We are looking for someone who approaches work with creativity and diligence and knows how to take the initiative. Experience with Microsoft Office tools is a must.
In this role, you will:
Support our communications approaches from all angles. We expect you to create content for internal and external purposes, converting complex facts into easy to understand and interesting information for potentially both our internal & external stakeholders.
Partner with Communications colleagues to develop strategic internal campaigns and programming that drive engagement, create awareness and educate the global population.
Execute on a communications strategy, including tactical support and pull-through – i.e. maintenance of intranet, some meeting logistics, support of tactical campaign execution on a global level.
Provide executive support/partnership with assigned leadership teams within the Life Science Business – i.e. speech writing, PowerPoint slide creation (including content development and simple slide design)
Ensure consistency of messaging across the organization, in line with our Life Science business priorities and strategy, Group Communications priorities and our overall communications strategy.
Write and publish rich content for internal channels and work with teams throughout the business, to create an editorial calendar which educates and engages the global employee base.
Collaborate on the planning and execution of corporate events, with a focus on driving content that will accelerate knowledge, solutions and empowerment across the organization and elevate our Life Science message.
