SUMMARY
Communicates with assigned customers and exchanges information to coordinate flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Communicates with employees the current status of the purchase orders in process.
Communicates and coordinates with employees and assigned Production supervisors any internal or external date changes, quantity changes, shipping changes and resolves any issues to insure customer satisfaction.
Confers with Production office personnel, managers, and Production supervisors (lead person in the absence of Supervisor) to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes.
Transfers paper work and information to and communicates with; managers, production supervisors, and quality control department to resolve production quality issues. May be required to deliver parts and/or materials within the complex.
Generates and maintains files on; orders, correspondence, inner office memos, production schedules, shipping schedules.
May communicate with quoting department and engineering department to help resolve engineering level changes and purchase order issues.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIALS SKILLS:
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language. Must be able to prepare correspondence, reports, complete forms, and maintain filing systems.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills including word processing, spread sheeting, and use of commercial software packages.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit for up to 8 hours. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs, bend over, reach above head, and carry up to 25 pounds.
