New River Community College is Hiring an Information Technology Instructor Near Pulaski, VA
Provide leadership with one other full-time CS/IT faculty member for the Information Technology academic programs. Teach information technology courses to students as assigned; write course plans; develop courses, including online, hands-on, hybrid, and Hyflex courses; assist in the acquisition of related instructional materials and supplies; and recommend curricular changes. In addition to teaching, assume advising responsibilities; assist the department and division with administrative and/or committee work; participate in department-, division-, and college-wide discussion and meetings; and complete other duties as assigned. Each semester, teach a minimum of 15 semester hours for day, evening, and/or online classes, both on campus and at off-campus sites as needed, and maintain a minimum of 10 office hours per week. This position supports the college’s mission to “give everyone the opportunity to learn and develop the right skills so lives and communities are strengthened
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

- Ability/potential to use computerized/electronic classrooms.
