We are hiring for our Day Mental Health Program in Norwell, MA,

As a Mental Health Counselor with us, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day. From providing empathetic counseling sessions to collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, your expertise will help individuals navigate life's challenges and build resilience.

What You'll Do:

  • Provides individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and skills training.
  • Ensures orientation of new clients upon admission.
  • Obtains history and presenting information as part of intake process.
  • Collaboratively develops and updates individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilizes patient-centered therapeutic interventions and rapport-building practices, including motivational interviewing techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Documents treatment interventions, contacts, treatment plans and sessions.
  • Maintains individual caseload to actively engage patients in the program.
  • Coordinates comprehensive discharge plan to ensure seamless community reintegration.

What You'll Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology or related field.
  • LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, LADC preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting serving culturally diverse populations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work with an Electronic Medical Record (KIPU)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and demands.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the clinical environment.
  • Understands the need for confidentiality and always maintains appropriate boundaries. Including when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.
  • Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of case management within the mental health field.
