Due to a recent promotion, The Minot Daily News has an opening for a full-time sports writer, a six-day newspaper based in Minot, North Dakota, covering sports and recreation in and around Minot and surrounding communities. You will cover high school sports, Minot State University sports, and other recreational sports activities.

We’re looking for a sports writer who enjoys watching sports as much as telling the story of what they've watched.

We will consider an entry-level or veteran sports writer who is comfortable with all forms of photography, videography, digital, and social media. The key traits that we are looking for are people skills, writing ability, self-motivation, and a willingness to learn. Employee pay will depend on experience.
