Madison County Schools is Hiring an Attendance Clerk Near Madison, VA
Required
- A working knowledge of general clerical and technical work including record keeping and maintenance.
- Proficiency with basic record keeping programs and office instruments, to include but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, fax, phone, copiers, and other various equipment.
- Experience in an academic environment a plus.
- The ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving stooping, kneeling, crouching, pulling or pushing, and carrying of objects and materials of moderate weight.
- Must have the ability to represent an outstanding school division by maintain high standards and ethics each and every day.
- Maintain confidentiality of departmental items and documentation.
- Greet and direct visitors to Madison County High School.
- Maintain records, review for accuracy, and prepare various office documents.
- Enter attendance for students on a daily basis.
- Receive and direct incoming calls and queries, and accurately record or notate patron needs.
- Working with staff members to identify attendance concerns and patterns.
- Operate general office data processing equipment.
- Verify attendance records, late arrivals and early dismissals for students.
- Deliver incoming attendance messages to classrooms and teachers as needed.
