Job Description Summary
The MICU Manager is responsible for oversight of day-to-day operation functions within their assigned area of responsibility. The MICU Manager manages all clinical partners in the MICU to assure compliance with all company policies and procedures. The MICU Manager provides support for, and participates in, the initiatives of the Strategic Plan. Responsibilities are accomplished and based on MedFlight/MedCare’s mission, vision and values.
Working in conjunction with the Vice President of Ground Operations (VPGO) and closely with the MedFlight and MedCare Operations teams, the MICU Manager is responsible for facilitating the business plan to ensure mission readiness, efficient scheduling, transmit the organization’s values, communicate information and ideas, coach and mentor others, manage resources and assure that the organization’s core values are implemented. The MICU Manager will model Servant Leadership and Just Culture philosophies.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business field preferred.
2. Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience in prehospital setting preferred.
3. Minimum of three years of Leadership experience preferred.
4. Current Ohio Nursing license or Paramedic certificate required.
5. CMTE preferred (Must begin CMTE credential within 3 years of hire)
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at one time.
8. Ability to work well with all levels of staff.
