Job Description:
The Director of IT Operations will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems and infrastructure within our organization. The incumbent must possess a strong background in IT leadership, with a focus on ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our technology systems to support our business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Develop and execute IT strategies and roadmaps aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Lead the IT operations team in identifying and implementing technology solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance. Collaborate with senior leadership to assess IT needs and prioritize initiatives that support business growth and innovation.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services. Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems to meet operational requirements and regulatory standards. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted operations.
Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and FDA regulations.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and address security gaps proactively. Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, and recommend measures to strengthen the organization's security posture.
Provide leadership and guidance to the IT operations team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT department. Promote professional development opportunities and mentorship to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions. Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements, and pricing terms to optimize value and minimize risks. Evaluate new technologies and solutions to support business objectives and drive innovation.
