Job Description:

The Director of IT Operations will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems and infrastructure within our organization. The incumbent must possess a strong background in IT leadership, with a focus on ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our technology systems to support our business objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute IT strategies and roadmaps aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Lead the IT operations team in identifying and implementing technology solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance. Collaborate with senior leadership to assess IT needs and prioritize initiatives that support business growth and innovation.

• Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services. Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems to meet operational requirements and regulatory standards. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and FDA regulations.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and address security gaps proactively. Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, and recommend measures to strengthen the organization's security posture.

• Team Management and Development:

Provide leadership and guidance to the IT operations team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT department. Promote professional development opportunities and mentorship to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.

• Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions. Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements, and pricing terms to optimize value and minimize risks. Evaluate new technologies and solutions to support business objectives and drive innovation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, ITIL, PMP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are a plus
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive IT leadership roles, with a focus on infrastructure management and operations.
• Proven track record of success in leading IT teams and delivering technology solutions in a regulated industry, preferably pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
• Experience with IT security and compliance, including knowledge of HIPAA, FDA regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives and drive organizational change.

Compensation:

• This position pays $147,000 - $231,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
