Laser eye institute is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician (COA/COT) Near Troy, MI
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and thorough diagnostic tests
- Assist the physicians in various procedures
- Take patient histories and document all findings accurately in electronic medical records system
- Provide patient education on preoperative and postoperative instructions, including medication use and restrictions
- Maintain and clean ophthalmic equipment and instruments
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of ophthalmic supplies
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ophthalmic technician
- Experience with LASIK or other refractive surgeries preferred
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, procedures, and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff
