We are looking for an Entry-Level Legal Assistant with 1 plus years' administrative/legal experience and strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to details and being a self-started are also important for success in this position.
Our teams are small, and we offer flexible scheduling and partial work from home options after an initial training period.
First year associates accrue 3 weeks Paid Time Off. Great benefits, too.
Legal Assistant Responsibilities include:
Preparing files for legal production.
Filing documents with courts.
Tracking and updating Q-Law files, our system of record.
Producing legal pleadings and ensuring specific state law requirements are followed.
Case investigation with courts; dismissals, case number inquiries, etc.
Creating, printing, notarizing, sorting, and mailing documents.
Assisting Attorneys and working with clerks of court.
Various other filing projects and document preparation.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Organizing and tracking files
Legal Assistant Skills will include:
Experience with assisting attorneys.
Familiarity with civil legal procedures, protocols, and court systems.
Intermediate skill with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong problem-solving skills and able to streamline projects to improve processes.
Demonstrated and consistent follow-through skills.
Strong work ethic
Persistence in learning and understanding new concepts.
Possess high ethical standards and the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Enjoy a fast-paced environment, collegial work environment.
