Position Overview

This role is responsible for producing media and exhibit projects for the museum, guiding them from concept to launch. It oversees Experience team staff and vendors in the creation of physical exhibitions, digital media, and live experiences, collaborating across the organization to meet educational and institutional goals. The Experience Production Manager develops and follows through on project budgets, processes, and timelines in an up-tempo production environment.

This is a full-time, exempt position and reports to the Chief Experience Officer. Kidspace is a hybrid workplace located in Pasadena, CA. This hybrid role will be onsite a minimum of 2 days per week, including occasional weekends or evenings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Produces experiences and media that engage audiences and meet established educational goals and narratives

· Uses best practices in project management to deliver media, exhibit, and experience projects on budget and on time

· Keeps teams and stakeholders informed, on task, and accountable

· Directs staff and vendors in creative projects; contributes hands-on production work as required

· Drafts and manages detailed project budgets and timelines

· Identifies and implements process improvements in areas including exhibit planning, media development, and live experiences

· Creates project documents that clearly present plans and concepts; communicates ideas effectively

· Actively contributes to our culture of inclusivity, welcome, collaboration, and play

· Performs duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

· 3–5 years experience in educational media production or exhibit/experience design

· Proven success as a project manager

· Bachelor’s degree in media or experience production or equivalent field

· Digital portfolio of completed media projects

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in producing live projection or interactive events

· Experience using web CMS/WordPress

· Working fluency in Spanish

Pay: $66,750.00 - $73,000.00 per year
