Minimum Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business Management or Human Resources required.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in the field of Diversity & Inclusion or Human Resources
  • Demonstrated capability to represent Keolis as a credible ambassador to regulatory bodies, the client, and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in the public transport sector understanding the operational capacity to assess and understand functionality of the business.
  • Ability to influence wider organizational culture through systemic, sustainable approaches.

Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate successfully in writing and verbally with a variety of disciplines and levels, with both internal and external staff.
  • Extensive familiarity with EEO related discrimination and harassment laws and policies.

Key Accountabilities (Essential Job Duties):

Policies & Procedures:

  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all KCS policies, identifies and makes appropriate referrals for any misconduct discovered during an investigation to other areas and departments.
  • Works closely with Labor Relations, Human Resources, outside Counsel or internal KCS Counsel as needed on external (MCAD, EEOC) discrimination investigations and resolutions.
  • Manages Title VII investigations from start to finish – appropriately addressing employee concerns, maintaining confidentiality, partnering with key stakeholders as necessary, preparing corresponding reports, and closing matters out with involved parties.
  • Manages the Reasonable Accommodation Program for medical and religious accommodations in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging Programming:

  • Partners with key stakeholders to design and implement internal programming efforts that aim to foster a more inclusive environment for all employees, including Inclusion & Engagement Committees, Affinity Groups, and speaker series.
  • Conducts a variety of organizational studies, recommending modifications to policies and procedures as appropriate to improve diversity and inclusion efforts while remaining in compliance with civil rights laws.
  • Partners with the Recruitment Team to continuously foster a more inclusive working environment reflective of the communities that we serve.

Compliance Programming:

  • Is an internal SME on Title VII and ADA related matters, providing guidance and technical advice to management on all employee and applicant accessibility related codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Sits on various internal committees to provide advice, counsel and feedback on leave administration, disciplinary, union-related, and managerial issues.
  • Establishes and maintains the confidence and support of staff at all levels to advance diversity and inclusion efforts and civil rights compliance; influences culture change by serving as an advocate and resource.

Other:

  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions (including Physical Demands):

  • Hybrid role, in office a minimum of 2 days per week.
  • Work outside of normal office hours may be required.
