Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Hialeah (Dade County), Florida, is hiring a candidate qualified to join our talented and professional team as a Pre-K2 Teacher for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. The applicant must be a nurturing, creative, and dedicated professional with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, design instructions to motivate and engage all learners, and develop thematic units. The Pre-K2 Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a pre-school classroom.
• Must have begun Part 1 and 2 of DCF training, having taken the competency exam for one.
• After one year must have State 40 hours’ childcare training with DCF completed, with all competency exams.
• State 40 hours’ childcare training with DCF.
• Universal Precautions/ Exposure Plan course form DCF.
• Safe Sleep/ Shaken Baby Syndrome Training.
• Current CPR course.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Must be of good moral character and supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
