Hutchings Psychiatric Center is Hiring a Graduate Nurse Near Syracuse, NY

Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC) has immediate job opportunities for Graduate Nurses. Graduate Nurses will be mentored and trained by experienced nursing staff through HPC’s Nurse Residency Program.

Nurses at HPC are vital members of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing compassionate care and patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness.

Graduate Nurses at HPC:

· Will have an opportunity to work side-by-side and be mentored by an experienced RNs

· Assist with nursing assessments, update individual’s health information and vital signs

· Observe, monitor, and record individuals’ symptoms, conditions, and care

· Provide counseling and education to individuals and families

Minimum Qualifications:

· Possession of a limited permit as a graduate nurse in NY, or

· Applied for NYS RN Limited Permit and NYS RN License within 90 days of graduation from a NYS Nursing Program

· Note: If hired as a Graduate Nurse, must obtain an NYS RN license within one year
