Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Safety Attendant, you provide observation of a patient when it is determined that patient’s safety may be jeopardized without supervision/observation. You must be able to work in an often-stressful environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding. The Patient Safety Attendant must have the ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities. You will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patients and communicate needs with the assigned nurse while continually assuring the patient's dignity, privacy, and rights with respect to the age of the patient.

Position Qualifications:

• • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or ARC CPR.
  • One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • CPI, grace period to obtain may apply
