SUMMARY
The Organization Compliance Specialist will be located at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport project office and will support the compliance efforts to support the ATLNext Program. This position is responsible for ensuring that the ATLNext Program business operations and policy and procedures comply with program regulations and internal policies. In this role, you will be involved in reviewing and evaluating program procedures and updating procedures. As our Organization Compliance Specialist, you will coordinate with various departments to ensure that the organization meets its obligations while also helping to maintain its operational integrity and standards.

As an Organization Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing compliance issues, ensuring that our business operations uphold the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular internal reviews and audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
  • Develop and implement an effective compliance program.
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
  • Draft and revise company policies.
  • Proactively review processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses.
  • Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk.
  • Collaborate with external auditors when needed.
  • Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
  • Educate and train employees on policy and procedures.
  • Address employee concerns or questions on policy and procedures compliance.
  • Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to do the same.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager.
  • Ability to listen and write detailed instructions.
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Degree in business administration or a related field.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the construction or real estate development industries.
  • Proficient in a suite of Microsoft applications and compliance software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. 
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. 
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to client top management, Russell corporate senior management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 

REASONING ABILITIES 

  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The work is typically performed in an office environment, requiring normal safety precautions against office hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • The position requires sitting, walking, standing, bending, and carrying light items such as books, papers, and presentation materials.
