Looking for a part-timer who will help in the bakery (baking, kneading, bagging/slicing bread). All training provided, great part-time job! Must be 18 or older.
We need someone happy, friendly, a good communicator, hard worker, reliable, and team player. Must be willing to learn, work quickly and efficiently, and multi-task with different personalities (we all work hard, but also have our own unique ways about us). Training, checklists, and help from team members will always be available.
Scheduling:
Mondays from 7:45am-1:00pm (kneading, slicing, bagging)
Wednesdays from 5:00am-12:30pm (bread baking, kneading, slicing, bagging)
(times are approximate, about 12-15 hours each week).
A flexible schedule is ideal in case our other baker can’t make it. Would like someone for at least a year. Must have reliable transportation - bikes and feet included.
Compensation:
$17.00/hr plus cash tips (average $4.00) equaling $21.00
Food/bread, work shirts. Option to purchase health insurance after 3 months.
This is a locally/family owned bakery downtown, we have a small team of six and need a little help.
Job includes: making bread from start to finish, using the slicer, bagging/labeling/slicing bread, kindness towards customers and team, checking off the task lists given, cleaning, quality control with products. With the exception of Saturdays, we run fans for a few hours along with the bread slicer (so it can be a bit noisy at times). Every day there is music.
All candidates must be 18 and have the ability to:
Weigh and measure ingredients properly - basic math skills are needed for conversions
Help knead dough with the team during dough time
Follow recipes and understand batch sizing
Provide quality control and product consistency
Safely operate heavy machinery and equipment - training provided
Safely lift 50 pounds and properly mill flour
Ensure all bread is completed in accordance to standards
Multi-task, have time management skills and clean as you work
Understand how each step of bread baking affects taste, appearance and feel
Properly temp and take bread out of the oven - communicate when a batch isn’t correct
Additional skills needed:
Communication skills and a positive attitude
Flexibility and adaptability
Reliable and consistent
Very excited to see who will be joining our group!
