JOB SUMMARY

Hamilton Physician Group (“HPG”) is a multi-subspecialty physician group practice and wholly owned subsidiary of Hamilton Medical Center, Inc., (“HMC”). HMC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hamilton Healthcare System, Inc. (“HHCS”). HPG was created as a responsive, scalable and adaptable physician enterprise to meet the long-term community need for medical specialties within the Dalton, Georgia and surrounding communities that for various reasons may not be optimally provided for or sustainable by the independent medical staff.

The RN Clinical Lead will plan, organize, supervise and lead the day to day operations of clinical staff in the outpatient clinic ensuring the optimal quality patient and family centered care. This includes staff leadership in clinical processes, staffing, scheduling, training, workflow process, quality improvement and risk reduction initiatives-.

In addition to the leadership responsibilities, the RN Clinical Lead will fulfill the duties of the practice nurse. Practice nurse duties include preparing patients for provider visits, assisting providers with patient care needs, controlling patient flow, following established protocols for patient care, assisting with routine procedures, coordinating patient care orders, managing patient phone calls, test result follow ups, prescription requests and any other miscellaneous patient care issues. This job includes assessments, communication, and follow up to provide the highest quality care and patient experience

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing

Licensure: Current RN License in the State of Georgia, Current CPR Certification

Experience: 1 year of Medical office experience required, 2-3 years preferred; Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience preferred

Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia, Knowledge of clinical patient care, the ability to use critical thinking skills, highly organized with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and reporting, demonstrates evidence of exceptional leadership skills, positive communication, and collaboration with patients, families and other health care team members, maintains core values that are consistent with quality patient/ family centered care, and maintains a positive attitude toward other team members


PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in typical physician office setting with primarily adult and geriatric patients (pediatric / adolescent rarely) who are experiencing a wide range of medical problems. Required to work flexible schedule. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
