About The Role

We are looking for a experienced Maintenance Technician II/III to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises and equipment. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as equipment preventative maintenance, painting, HVAC, etc. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the equipment, building and common areas in the best possible condition.

This role typically works Monday through Thursday 4-10 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
  • Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with manager and supervisors.
  • Completes work order requests as defined by Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
  • Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
  • Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
  • Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
  • Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
  • Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
  • Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision.

Skills

  • Proven experience as maintenance technician
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic and other systems
  • Thorough knowledge of preventative maintenance processes
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Ability to perform the essential function of the role, with a willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) (Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus)
  • Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course
  • Forklift experience required with the ability to complete Hamilton's Forklift Certification program
  • Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus
  • Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor
  • Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
  • Strong background in manufacturing systems in manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally audiences manufacturing environment
