The Greater Sacramento Urban League (GSUL) is seeking a talented Bookkeeping Associate/Financial Controller to join our accounting team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

What You'll Do:

• Record and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks and accounting software
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements promptly
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L statements, balance sheets, and reports
• Analyze financial data and generate reports on key metrics
• Collaborate with the accounting team on budgeting, forecasting, and planning
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting regulations and best practices
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

What You'll Need:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, nonprofit preferred
• Expert skills in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting systems
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
• Knowledge of nonprofit accounting regulations and reporting
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
